CAD Drawings
Tool Holder
Below is a CAD drawing of a Tool Holder. It is rectangular shaped object with multiple slanted sides. The front of the object is slanted at a 45 degree angle, and part of the right side is slanted at a 45 degree. On the left of the object part of the object is slanted at a 30 degree angle. There is a circular hole with a depth of 1.25 inches on the right side of the object. The drawing includes a front view, top view, and right side view.
Outlet Check Valve
Below is a CAD drawing of an Outlet Check Valve. It is a cylinder like shape. The inner diameter changes (increases) about 0.5 inches from the right to the left of the object. There are also different ridges or grooves on the outside of the cylinder. From the right the rings increase, increase, decrease, and then increase again in diameter. The drawing only needs and has 2 views. The views are a front view and a right side view.
Roller Lever
Below is a CAD drawing of a Roller Lever. It is a general rectangle shape object with multiple chamfers on its corner. The object also has two "arms" that have a rounded cutaway between them. The arms both have a hole of the same diameter drilled through the center of them. on the left side of the object there is an even larger hole drilled through it. The drawing includes a front, top, and right side view of the object.
Development Drawings
Below are several CAD drawings. For this assignment we had to create a development drawing for multiple 3D objects. We did this to get prepared to create a packaging design for Twinkies. We designed the drawings so that someone can cut it out and fold it to create a 3D object. Some of the objects turn into pyramid like shapes. Another turns into a cylinder and others turn into a prism like shape or "C" like shape.
Twinkie Development Packaging Design
For this project, we had to design a development for a box or container that could contain two Twinkies. For my design I designed a box like container with a divider to separate the two Twinkies and to also offer support. The top part of my design is more of a triangle shape to offer even more support. The side fold inward to create a tight seal to protect the Twinkies. After we made the development, we had to print them out and create a prototype.
